V = 3.14 * 7.5^2 * 3.6

V = 176.625 × 3.6

V = 635.85

Rounded to the nearest cubic unit, the volume of this cylinder is 636 inches cubed.

**Don't forget to write a small 3 above inches to indicate that it is cubed!

Aha! This time they haven't given you the radius, but the diameter.

Since the radius is half of the diameter, we must divide the diameter by 2 to find it.

r = d ÷ 2

r = 28 ÷ 2

r = 14 cm

Like the previous question, we have enough information to solve this! We'll use the same formula to calculate the volume of this cylinder.

V = pi * r^2 * h

Pi = Approximately 3.14

Radius = 14 cm

Height = 5 cm

Substitute:

V = 3.14 * 14^2 * 5

V = 615.44 * 5

V = 3,077.2 cm cubed

Rounded to the nearest cubic unit, the volume of this cylinder would be 3,077 centimetres cubed.
