The problem should be 7.5=3k. So that means that you have to divide both sides by 3. Once you do that you should get 2.5 as your answer.

Reorganize → 7.5 → 3k
7.5 + -3k which also can be placed as 3k + -3k
7.5 + -3k → 0
7.5 + -7.5 + 3k → 0 + -7.5
-3k → -7.5
Therefore, "K" would be
2.5
