What is the answer to -7+x=x/10-16

we first get rid of the fraction by multiplying both sides by 10
this gives us: -70+10x=x-160
subtract x from both sides
this gives us: =-70+9x=-160
add 70 to both sides
this gives us 9x=-90
divide both sides by 9
this gives us x=-10
